"We had a wonderful stay at the Old Victorian Farmhouse. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything you would ever want, including books, movies and games to enjoy, a parlor room to spend time in and free wi-fi. We stayed in the secret garden room, which was lovely. The bed, in particular, was incredibly comfortable. The feather mattress made for a great night's sleep. The hostess, Sherry, was very kind and accommodating and the breakfast she made was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway."

We are located approximately 40 miles northwest of downtown Chicago in the quiet suburb of Wauconda, Illinois, close to Long Grove, Barrington and the Chain of Lakes. Old Victorian Farmhouse is a favorite travel Bed and Breakfast Lake County IL destination.
Our historical Victorian farmhouse is over 150 years old and holds much charm and history, yet it is current in every way to meet your overnight needs. Just 5 blocks from antique shops and restaurants, we boast 10 golf courses within 10 miles of our location as well as being close to lakes, swimming, fishing, cross country skiing, bike paths, and a car museum.
Book an afternoon High Tea for your group of 8 to 28 in our elegant dining room. Also, High Teas are fun for birthday parties, bridal showers and baby showers. At Children's High Teas, we teach manners and play a Victorian game. When you have overnight guests and need a place for them to stay or if you want a peaceful get-away for yourself, but you don't want to travel far, our doors are open.
